Who wouldn't prefer to go on holidays with his dog(s)? Getting away from it all together? Enjoying nature? From July 2005 we are welcoming you and your four-footed friends in our holiday homes in naturparc the Morvan in the Burgundy France. We welcome all your dogs and offer you two holiday cottages with  spacious gardens equipped with a fence of up to 2 metres in height.

But ofcourse you are more than welcome without your dogs too ! When you enjoy nature and long walks, good food and friendly people .. the Morvan is the place for you to be.

Petit Blancs


This cottage in authentic "en-pierre" is suitable for 4 adults (or 2 adults and 2 children).

The interior of the gîte consists of a kitchen/sitting room, a separate bedroom and shower/toilet. The kitchen is equipped with gas, oven and microwave, and naturally with all the necessary kitchen-ware. In the sitting room there is a flatscreen TV with a DVD player at your disposal.

The sitting room is cozily decorated with a comfortable sofa that also converts to a bed for two. There are also several dog baskets in the sitting room for your four-legged friends. The cottage has feeding bowls for the dogs and there are even doggy toys. A wood-burning stove provides for both warmth and ambiance.

Outside the cottage there is a terrace with patio furniture, a hammock and a barbeque, and the garden itself (1500m2) is entirely enclosed by a high fence (2 metres). You have your own entrance so full privacy, you drive the car into the garden, close the gate and holiday starts.
The cottage is available to rent the whole year through. The rental fee includes gas, water and light. The rent does not include bedding or towels for shower or kitchen (which may, however, be seperately rented).

At 15 minutes from Petit Blancs we rent a second gîte for people with (or without) dogs. This cottage in authentic style is suitable for 4 adults.

The sitting room is cozily decorated with a comfortable sofa which can be converted into a bed for 2 persons. There are also several dog baskets in the sitting room for your four-legged friends. The cottage has feeding bowls for the dogs and there are even doggy toys. A fire place provides for both warmth and ambiance.

Outside the cottage there is a garden with patio furniture and a barbeque, and the garden itself is entirely enclosed by a high fence (2 metres). You have your own entry, drive the car into the garden, close the gate and your holiday can start.The cottage is available to rent March till October. The rental fee includes gas, water and light. The rent does not include bedding or towels for shower or kitchen (which may, however, be seperately rented).

More Information

Cleaning: you do not pay any cleaning costs or additional costs for your dog(s) however we expect you to leave the house in a proper condition.

In the gites you will find a book with house rules, tips and trips and other usefull information.

You may also opt for a service arrangement, which you need to specify when making your reservation.
The service arrangement consists of:
- basic groceries upon arrival (water, wine, cheese, butter, etc.)
- bedding and towels for shower/kitchen for 1 week

The service arrangement amounts to an additional fee of € 35.00.

You can also choose to rent only bedding, which amounts to € 12.50 per week.

Arrival: Saturdays after 14:00 (other times negotiable)
Departure: Saturdays before 11:00 (other times negotiable)

Security deposit: 150 euros. The security deposit is expected to be paid beforehand together with the rental fee.

Location

Our gîtes are to be found in Burgundy, inside the regional park of the Morvan. It is located some 15 km south of Avallon, 2,5 hours south east of Paris.
Petit Blancs is 5 minutes by car from the beautiful Lac de St Agnan, where you can make marvellous walks. For your shopping you can go to Quarre les Tombes (6 km) a typical French village, with 2 small supermarkets, a bakery and twice a week a lovely market. At 25 minutes you will find Avallon where there is a large Hypermarche Auchan, you can visit nice places like Vezelay, Beaune or Dijon.
Gouloux is 5 minutes by car from the larger lake Lac des Settons, and 10 minutes from Lac St Agnan. For your shopping you can go to Montsauche, a small French village where there is a supermarket or in 15 minutes to Saulieu, where you will find many restaurants and a few supermarkets.

When you come to us, we kindly invite you to visit our showroom of ZeepSoapSavon: handmade soaps from all around the world, made with naturel ingredients.

Petrol: fuelling up is cheapest at the large supermarkets (Auchan, Atac). This can make a difference of up to 10-15 eurocents!

The road signs in France are adequate and clear; every few kilometres along the highways there are rest-stops and it is clearly indicated when and where you approach a roadside restaurant or petrol station.
